In the past five years, I have focused on studying the impacts of chemical pollutants from waste sources on the environment within the Environmental Health and Sustainable Development field. I utilize tools such as AERMOD, CALPUFF, and CALLINE to model the dispersion of hazardous chemicals in the environment and employ models like PMF, PCA, and Cluster analysis to identify sources of air pollution. Additionally, I use GMS AQUAVIO and Hydrus 1D to simulate the dispersion of chemicals in groundwater and soil.
I use the Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model and AIRQ+ to assess the impact of chemicals on human health. The PBPK model helps simulate the distribution, metabolism, and elimination of chemicals in the human body, while AIRQ+ analyzes information on air quality, population data, and health metrics. The Potential Ecological Risk (PER) assessment method is also applied to evaluate the risk of heavy metals in road dust to ecosystems.
My research interests also align with potential collaboration opportunities. I am interested in evaluating the impacts of climate change, the construction of hydroelectric dams on the environment and public health, and the development of renewable energy aiming towards Net Zero/Zero Carbon. My skills and knowledge are applicable not only to academic research but also to practical projects and environmental policy development, and I am open to collaborating with others who share these interests.

Unit: CENTRE FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (CRSD)
Working position: Project Coordinator
- Interviewed community members in Thua Thien Hue Province to assess their knowledge of climate change adaptation and to learn what measures they were currently taking in response to climate change.
- Taught and led rural people in Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, and Quang Nam Provinces to research and record their indigenous knowledge of utilization and protection of natural resources.
- Coordinated activities of the Vietnam River Network (VRN) in Vietnam’s three central regions.
- Developed and promoted the network "Communities affected by hydroelectric dams in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands of Vietnam”. This network campaigned and lobbied to change the decisions and actions that disadvantage the ordinary people of Vietnam.
- Built and participated in activities of networks in the field of climate change such as Central Climate Network (CCN), Vietnamese Non-Governmental Organizations and Climate Change (VNGO & CC).
- Arranged funding from Oxfam NGO, BothEnd NGO, WWF NGO, RMIT university, and ICCO NGO to conducted projects/research on Environment or Climate Change issue.
- Communicated with and hosted researchers from numerous universities in Vietnam to conduct research on the effects of hydropower dams on the environment and on affected communities’ livelihoods.
- Trained government officials, teachers, and rural people in four central provinces of Vietnam on climate change adaptation and environmental protection.
- Wrote numerous kinds of reports and distributable materials on climate change adaptation and Environmental protection.
