Dr. Duy-Quang Dao received his Ph.D. degree in 2010 in Optic-Lasers, Physico-Chemistry, and Environment from the University of Lille, France. He worked as a Research Engineer of CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) at the Institut Pprime in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, France from 2010 to 2012. During this period, he worked in the pyrolysis of various polymer and composite materials. After that, he joined the Institut of Research and Development (IRD) of Duy Tan University, in Da Nang, Viet Nam.

His current research topics are related to thermochemistry and chemical kinetics of Radical Reactions between natural-based antioxidant compounds and persistent organic pollutants (including pesticides, pharmaceutical compounds, tire additives, PFAS....) with free radicals in the gas phase and in solutions using the Density functional theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) approaches. The reaction kinetics of organic compounds over organometallic catalysis is also his research interest. Electronic and optical properties of metallic clusters, especially gold, silver, and copper clusters, are also studied using DFT and time-dependent DFT.
